A new way of helping children grow

Every child has
a Northern Star inside.

The COMPAS Framework gives them the tools to find it.

The COMPAS Framework teaches children and teens how to navigate big feelings and hard moments, using yoga in its fullest sense: movement, breath, mindfulness, story and inner strength. This is not a yoga class. It’s an inner compass they keep for life.

The greatest gift we can give our children isn’t protection from life’s challenges. It’s the tools to navigate them.

Meltdowns at transition time.

The worry that won’t switch off at bedtime.

The clever, capable teen frozen by exam stress.

Children aren’t struggling because something is wrong with them. They’re struggling because no one has shown them how to find their way back to calm.

That is exactly what I teach. Emotional regulation is the skill every other skill is built on: focus, friendship, learning, courage.

The method

The COMPAS Framework: a compass for the inner world

Through movement, breath and story, children learn to calm their body, understand their feelings, shift their energy, and choose their next step with confidence. Six steps, practised through play, until finding calm becomes something they can do anywhere: at preschool, in the classroom, at home.

The COMPAS wheel: Calm and Connection, Optimism and Openness, Movement and Mindfulness, Purpose and Positivity, Awareness and Acceptance, Strength and Self-Belief

Don’t take my word for it

“They’ve been telling me all about the Northern Star and how it guides them like a compass... such a special concept for children. They loved learning new poses and came home so calm and happy.”

The person behind it

Hi, I’m Marketa

I’ve been guiding children since I was 15, from summer camps in the Czech Republic to classrooms across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. I built the COMPAS Framework because I believe every child deserves to know the way back to their own calm, confidence and courage.
